Things coming together
Hello there!
Today will be a simple post about integration.
This is the part where we assemble stuff we made, and it's important for the project obviously, but also for us because seeing things coming together is a good motivator.
It's also the point where problems might arise when things just happen to not work well together, but I'm glad to say that in our case, this has mostly been smooth sailing so far.
We've had a small issue with balls' textures not fitting well on the balls 3D models and another one with the sidebars being too large, but both of these were solved without much trouble after a quick team discussion.
So what you can see here is the game view with everything needed in the scene : the billiard table, the floor boards, the cue, the balls with their corresponding thematic for the prophecies...
The side bars are complete with the finished portraits of Clotho and Atropos (and made darker to better indicate who's in standby when the other is playing).
You can even see the trajectory previsualisation (which is still visually rough, but is working as intended).
Speaking of systems, what you can't see on this screenshot is that the gameloop is also functional on that same build, so you can pocket balls, alternate turns and win (or lose) the game in the end.
Oh and, obviously, you can generate prophecies, and as already presented in the previous post, the vfx are also in.
There's still work to do obviously, but we're happy to see the project finally taking shape in accordance to our vision.
